Dr. Tony Nader, Maharaja Adhiraj Raja Raam

Dr. Tony Nader received his M.D. degree from the American University of Beirut, where he also studied internal medicine and psychiatry. His Ph.D. is in the area of Brain and Cognitive Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).


He was a Clinical and Research Fellow in Neurology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Assistant director of the clinical research center at MIT.  Presently he is the International President of Maharishi Vedic Universities, Maharishi Universities of Management and Maharishi Open University.


Dr. Nader conducted research on neurochemistry, neuroendocrinology, and the relationship between diet, age, behaviour, mood, seasonal influences, and neurotransmitter and hormonal activity, and on the role of neurotransmitter precursors in medicine.


Dr. Nader has successfully correlated each aspect of the Vedic Literature to a specific area of Human physiology, and anatomy as well as the cell and the DNA with the conclusion that human physiology is the expression of Veda and the Vedic Literature. This is the subject matter of 5 of his published books. He also published a book on Ramayan in Human Physiology which extended this profound scientific elaboration of the scientific significance of Veda.


The practical application of Dr. Nader’s discovery has been documented by original research conducted by medical doctors and scientists, which demonstrates the effectiveness of Vedic Sounds and Vedic Vibrations for the treatment of chronic disorders.


In appreciation for his achievements Dr. Nader was honoured by Maharishi with the title ‘Maharaja Adhiraj Rajaraam’ and given responsibility for guiding the Global Country of World Peace, the umbrella organization for all of Maharishi’s worldwide legacy.

Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji was born in Tumkur district.  Following his Diploma at Government Polytechnic College (Tumkur), he did BE in civil engineering at National Institute of Engineering Mysore and M.Tech in structural engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He was selected as a scientist at Central Water and Power Research Station Poona. He instead volunteered to teach at a blind school in Ramanagar district. In 1998 he renounced worldly life and became a Swamiji. Balagangadharanatha Swamiji appointed him as the head of the Adichunchanagiri Shaka (branch) Math at Chikkaballapur.

Murli Manohar Joshi was the Union Human Resources Development minister of India.  Joshi is a leading member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Dr. Sushma Swaraj is an Indian politician and the current Minister of External Affairs of India. She is the second woman to be India's external affairs minister, first being Indira Gandhi. Dr. Harsh Vardhan is the incumbent minister at Ministry of Science and Technology (India) and Ministry of Earth Sciences. Smt Saroj Bala is the Chief Research Co-ordinator of the Research Project titled, 'Determining Cultural Continuity from Vedic and Epic Eras: through Sequential Dating of Astronomical References and other corroborating scientific evidences'. She has authored/edited the books "Historicity of Vedic and Ramayan Eras: Scientific Evidences from the Depths of Oceans to the Heights of Skies" and “वैदिक युग एवं रामायण काल की ऐतिहासिकता ".


She has done M.A. in Political Science and holds a degree in LLB. She is an IRS officer of 1972 batch and had retired as Member of CBDT. She made two very valuable contributions for improving the delivery of services to tax payers in India, one in the form of launching an annual publication titled, “Let us Share – A compilation of Best Orders and Best Practices in Income Tax Department" and the other an "Advanced Mid-Career International Training Program" for IRS officers. She was the first lady probationer in the history of Indian Revenue Service to be adjudged as the 'Best All Round Officer'. As Chief Commissioner she had revived the Income tax office in J & K after the terrorist attack in 2005 and as Director General (Training) at Nagpur, she had got conducted several training programs for tax administrators of foreign countries.

Sadhu Bhadresh Das ji

Sadhu Bhadreshdas is a well-recognized Sanskrit pundit and scholar, who has received the Mahāmahopādyāya award in 2012 and the Darshankesari award in 2013 for his exceptional work in Svāminārāyaṇa Vedānta. After completing his masters in Sanskrit in 1996, he received multiple ācārya degrees in Sāṃkhya, Yoga, Vedānta, Nyāya, Vaiśeṣika, and the Pūrvamīmāṃsā darśana. Thereafter, in 2005 he was awarded his doctoral degree for his work on Paramātmapratyakṣasvarūpayogaḥ, a comparative analysis of Svāminārāyaṇa’s Vacanāmṛta and Śrīmadbhagavadgītā. His creation of the Prasthānatreya Svāminārāyaṇa-bhāṣyam, a commentary on the Śrīmadbhagavadgītā, Upaniṣads, and Brahmasūtra according to teachings of Bhagavān Svāminārāyaṇa, awarded him a D.Litt. from Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU), Nagpur in 2010. He is also a leading member of the managing committee of BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute – Swaminarayan Akshardham, New Delhi and a professor at AARSH (Akshardham Center for Applied Research in Social Harmony) association with Somnath Sanskrit University, Verawal, Gujarat. He is also Pradhānācārya at Yagnapurush Sanskrit Pathshala, Sarangpur, Gujarat. He teaches philosophy, Nyaya Darshana, Veda, Paninian Grammer and Indian classical music (Table, Flute, Violin).

Dr. Bevan Morris

Dr. Bevan Morris has worked with the world-wide organizations of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for 46 years, beginning in Rishikesh in 1969. He has been President of Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, USA for 35 years. Leading educator in the world in the field of Maharishi Vedic Science and Technology, Dr. Bevan Morris is also the Prime Minister of the Global Country of World Peace since 2005. He hails from Australia, and was instructed in Transcendental Meditation by Maharishi in Sydney in 1967. Dr. Morris is a graduate of Cambridge University in the UK (1975), and received the first doctorate ever granted by Maharishi European Research University, Switzerland (1979). Dr. John Hagelin

Dr. John Hagelin is a world-renowned quantum physicist, a leading educator, and author.

Dr. Hagelin has conducted pioneering research at CERN (the European Center for Particle Physics) and the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. He has published over 100 scientific books and articles on fundamental particle physics, electro-weak unification, grand unification, super-symmetry and cosmology. His articles include some of the most widely cited references in the physical sciences. He is responsible for the development of a highly successful Grand Unified Field Theory based on the superstring—a theory that was featured in a cover story of Discover magazine.


In addition, Dr. Hagelin has spent much of the past quarter century leading a scientific investigation into the foundations of human consciousness. He is one of the world’s pre-eminent researchers on the effects of Yoga and Yogic meditation (including Transcendental Meditation) on brain development and higher states of consciousness (samadhi, enlightenment), and the use of the Vedic technologies of Yoga and Yagya to defuse societal stress, to prevent crime and social violence, and to promote economic prosperity and societal peace.


In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Dr. Hagelin was named winner of the prestigious Kilby Award, which recognizes scientists who have made “major contributions to society through their applied research in the fields of science and technology.” The award recognized Dr. Hagelin as “a scientist in the tradition of Einstein, Jeans, Bohr and Eddington.”


Dr. Hagelin received his A.B. summa cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1975 and his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1981. John Fagan, Ph.D.

Dr. John Fagan is a leading authority on sustainability in the food and agricultural system, and on biosafety and food authenticity. He is a successful entrepreneur in the field of biotechnology, having founded, built and sold Global ID Group, a pioneering company developing innovative molecular biological tools to verify and advance food purity, safety and sustainability. Dr. Fagan earned his Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology from Cornell University. His biomedical research has examined molecular mechanisms in carcinogenesis and assessed the cellular and gene-regulatory impacts of environmental toxicants such as dioxins and PCBs. Dr. Michael Dillbeck, Ph.D. Psychology

Dr. Michael Dillbeck was honored as a U.S. Presidential Scholar in 1968 by President Lyndon Johnson, and received his Ph.D. degree in psychology in 1976 from Purdue University in Indiana, USA. He is a Research Professor and Trustee of Maharishi University of Management, USA, and an international administrator (Raja) of the Global Country of World Peace. Volker Schanbacher, Ph.D.

Dr. Volker Schanbacher is a quantum physicist and educator. He received his Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) in the field of theoretical physics at the University of Tuebingen, Germany in 1981. Neil Paterson, DSCI, Ph.D. Vedic Science

Dr. Neil Paterson studied and worked with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for more than 30 years. He received his doctorate degree in the Science of Creative Intelligence (DSCI) from Maharishi European Research University (MERU), Seelisberg, Switzerland in 1983 and a doctorate degree in Maharishi Vedic Science (DVS) from Maharishi Vedic University, the Netherlands in 1993. Dr. Paterson is currently Secretary General of the Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation, an international foundation established by Maharishi, whose mission is to establish and permanently fund large groups of Maharishi Vedic Pandits in India to create World Peace through daily performance of the Vedic Technologies of Yog and Yagya.  Dr. Paterson also serves as Global Minister of Administration of the Global Country of World Peace, with responsibility for implementing Vedic administration throughout the world.

Howard Chancellor, Ph.D.

Dr. Howard Chancellor is an international leader of the Maharishi Purusha Program, founded by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in 1981 for single men who lead a Brahmachari lifestyle of deep meditation and service.  Dr. Chancellor has authored numerous scientific book chapters and research articles, and has a B.A. degree from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Maharishi University of Management. From 1996 to 2000, he organized corporate and educational projects for Maharishi in India before retiring to five years of deep silence in the mountains above Uttar Kashi under Maharishi’s guidance.  In 2005 Maharishi trained him to be a Purusha Raja — a Purusha administrator of the Global Country of World Peace.

Harris Kaplan, Ph.D.

Dr. Harris Kaplan is a Canadian and is the former chairman and CEO of Eastgate Management Corporation, USA, a successful investment management company and advisor to public and private companies, primarily in the energy field. Dr. Kaplan is the Chief Executive Officer of Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation, an international foundation established by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, whose mission is to establish and permanently fund large groups of Maharishi Vedic Pandits in India to create World Peace through daily performance of the Vedic Technologies of Yog and Yagya. Dr. Kaplan was also appointed by Maharishi as the Chief Administrator for India of the Global Country of World Peace. Dr. Kaplan and his wife, Arlene, spend six months each year in India reviewing first hand the implementation of the Global Peace Initiative of the Maharishi Vedic Pandits.

Fred Travis, Ph.D. Neuroscience

Dr. Travis is an internationally renowned neuroscientist. In a distinguished career that has spanned more than 30 years, Dr. Travis has published over 70 scientific papers, many in top peer-reviewed scientific journals, and has given presentations at major international conferences. He is a leading figure in global research into the field of consciousness and the development of consciousness through the Vedic technologies of consciousness, including the Transcendental Meditation and Transcendental Meditation Sidhi program developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Over the past 20 years the US National Institutes of Health has awarded more than $24 million to study the benefits of the Vedic science of consciousness for improving brain functioning and for health.  Dr. Travis is currently the Director of the Center for Brain, Consciousness and Cognition at Maharishi University of Management, USA. Dr. Travis received an M.S. and Ph.D. in Psychology from Maharishi University of Management, and a B.S. in Design and Environmental Analysis from Cornell University.

Susan Dillbeck, Ph.D. Education

Dr. Susan Dillbeck received her Ph.D. in education from the University of California at Berkeley. She is President of the International Foundation of Consciousness-Based Education and International Professor of Education and Trustee of Maharishi University of Management USA. Dr. Dillbeck worked developing Consciousness-Based Vedic Education, under the guidance of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi from 1971 to 2008; teaching and developing curricula, courses, and professional development programmes; and serving as president of a Consciousness-Based school and university. She has written more than 50 publications and 12 video courses on topics related to Consciousness-Based Vedic Education. Dr Dillbeck has given presentations in over 50 countries and received several teaching awards.

Robert Schneider, MD, FACC

Dr. Robert Schneider is a physician-scientist-educator and internationally-recognized leader in evidence-based integrative medicine.  Dr. Schneider did his clinical training in internal medicine by a fellowship in hypertension at the University of Michigan Medical School, specializing in preventive cardiology and neurocardiology. Dr. Schneider was one of the first to be certified as a clinical specialist in hypertension.  He is also board-certified in preventive medicine and public health. Beginning in 1984, Dr. Schneider was one of the first physicians in the United States to formally train in the Maharishi Vedic Approach to Health, the traditional system of natural health care of ancient India, which includes Ayurveda and other mind, body and environment approaches. For the past 30 years, Dr. Schneider has directed a research program on mind-body medicine and other CAM modalities for primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease.  He has been the principal or co- investigator on more than $25 million of grant support from the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Schneider has briefed the Presidential Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine, the U.S. Congress’ Prevention Coalition and members of the British Parliament’s House of Lords Committee on Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Currently, Dr. Schneider is Dean of the Maharishi College of Perfect Health – a new medical school under development at Maharishi University of Management to offer M.D. and M.S. degrees in Maharishi Integrative Medicine.

Keith Wallace, Ph.D.

Dr. Robert Keith Wallace received his Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of California at Los Angeles and did his postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School. His seminal papers published in Science, the American Journal of Physiology, and Scientific American, showed that Transcendental Meditation technique, a Vedic technology, produced a fourth major state of consciousness different than waking, sleeping, or dreaming. Dr. Wallace was the founding President of Maharishi University of Management and established the first Maharishi Ayurveda Clinics in the United States. He has traveled around the world giving lectures at major universities and institutes on Maharishi’s consciousness-based health programs and is the author of The Neurophysiology of Enlightenment, the Physiology of Consciousness, and co-author of Victory Before War. Dr. Wallace is currently a Trustee of Maharishi University of Management, Dean of the Maharishi College of Perfect Health, Director of Research, and Professor and Chairman of the Department of Physiology and Health.

Dr. John Konhaus

Dr. John Konhaus was educated at Franklin and Marshall College, USA and University of Lancaster, UK and graduated Phi Beta Kappa in Biology and Chemistry. He received a Masters degree in Maharishi Vedic Science from Maharishi University of Management, USA. He received his Ph.D. in Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture from Maharishi European Research University, Switzerland after 10 years of developing the science of Vedic Agriculture under the guidance of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and the Vedic Pandits of India. Dr. Konhaus is Professor of Vedic Agriculture at Maharishi University of Management, USA. He is founding President and Chairman of Maharishi Vedic Organic Agriculture Institute, USA and India.

His Excellency Joaquim Alberto Chissano Rama

His Excellency Joaquim Alberto Chissano Rama served as the second President of Mozambique from 1986 to 2005. He is credited with transforming the war-torn country of Mozambique into one of the most successful African democracies. After his presidency, President Chissano became an elder statesman in Africa, campaigning for peace through his work as an envoy and peace negotiator for the United Nations.


From July 2003 to July 2004, President Chissano served as Chair of the African Union and is now Chair of the Forum of Former African Heads of State and Government, and Chair of the Joaquim Chissano Foundation. In the early 1990’s, President Chissano learnt the Transcendental Meditation technique founded by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and introduced it to other government officials and their families. Two years later, he and his generals ordered all police and military to meditate twice a day for 20 minutes. In addition, 16,000 soldiers and 30,000 civilians were taught Transcendental Meditation and its advanced technique of Yogic Flying. President Chissano said the result was “political peace and balance in nature in my country.” According to Tobias Dai, President Chissano’s defence minister, “the effect was overwhelming” and included reduced crime, drought aversion and three times the expected level of economic growth.


In 1993, President Chissano received an honorary doctorate degree from Maharishi Vedic University in MERU, Holland and was personally honoured by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi with the title of “Rama”, for utilizing Vedic Science and Technology to bring peace, stability and prosperity to his nation.


In 2007, Kofi Annan announced President Chissano as the winner of the Mo Ibrahim Prize for Achievement in African Leadership by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation. President Chissano received the inaugural Ibrahim Prize for his achievements in bringing peace, reconciliation, stable democracy and economic progress to his country following the 16-year civil war, which lasted until 1992. The Prize also recognizes the major contribution he has made outside his country’s borders.


Dr. Jose Luis Alvarez Roset

Dr. Jose Luis Alvarez Roset studied and worked with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for more than 30 years. He received his doctorate degree in the Science of Creative Intelligence (DSCI) from Maharishi European Research University (MERU), Seelisberg, Switzerland and a doctorate degree in Maharishi Vedic Science (DVS) from Maharishi Vedic University, the Netherlands in 1993. Dr. Alvarez Roset is a world leading expert in the application of the Vedic technologies of consciousness, brought to light by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, in education, government, and military training. He has introduced the Vedic science of consciousness to over 250 schools in 23 countries in Latin America, with more than 195,000 students participating. The results of these programmes have been so positive that it has motivated government and education leaders in Brazil, Mexico, Ecuador and other countries to offer this programme to millions of children throughout Latin America. In addition, he has overseen a training programme in the military of several countries in Latin America, most notably in Ecuador, where thousands of military personnel have utilized Vedic Science in their training.


Father Gabriel Mejia

Father Gabriel Mejia is a Catholic priest from Colombia who has founded 52 shelters for homeless children and youthful offenders in Colombia. He has been referred to as the “Saint of Colombia” for his compassionate and fearless work to rescue the homeless and exploited children of his country and provide them with education and opportunities to develop their full potential and become productive and happy citizens of their country. Through his Fundacion Hogares Claret, Father Gabriel provides sanctuary for displaced street children, taking in anyone who needs help. In the last 20 years, Father Gabriel has rehabilitated nearly 60,000 children. Many of the children take advantage of the rehabilitation programs offered by the shelters and decide to permanently live there as a family with other children and mentors. This rehabilitation and educational programme includes learning the Vedic technologies of consciousness as brought to light by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, including the practice of the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi program, which scientific research has shown develops the full brain potential and many other benefits for the betterment of the individual. More than 10,000 children have participated in this programme. Father Gabriel’s work has been widely recognized, including an award from the World Federation of Therapeutic Communities, and from the Queen of Spain for his humanitarian work. He has served as president of the Latin American Federation of Therapeutic Communities.

Dr. Christopher Crowell

Dr. Christopher Crowell was educated at the University of California, Berkeley and received his MA in Higher Education from Maharishi University of Management, Fairfield, Iowa, USA and was awarded a doctorate degree in Maharishi’s Science of Creative Intelligence from Maharishi European Research University, Switzerland. He was appointed by Maharishi as Minister of Religion and Culture of the Global Country of World Peace. He is also International Director of the World Federation of Traditional Kings and Director of International Development Program at Maharishi University of Management, USA. Dr. Crowell has traveled to over 35 countries on development projects to promote cultural integrity, national unity, and world harmony through the Vedic science of Consciousness.

Cathy Gorini Ph.D.

Dr. Catherine A. Gorini is a recognized expert in geometry and an award-winning teacher. Her Ph.D. in mathematics is from the University of Virginia, where she specialized in algebraic topology. On the faculty of Maharishi University of Management, USA for over thirty years, she is currently Dean of Faculty and Professor of Mathematics and has been a teacher of the Transcendental Meditation technique for forty years. Dr. Gorini is the editor of Geometry at Work, a collection of papers on applied geometry published by the Mathematical Association of America, and the author of two books on mathematics and numerous papers on mathematics and Consciousness-Based education. Her teaching awards include the 2001 Award for Distinguished College or University Teaching of Mathematics given by the Iowa Section of the Mathematical Association of America.

Colonel Brian Rees M.D. (Retd)

Dr. Brian Rees received his medical degree and master’s degree in public health from Tulane University, USA and is a board certified family physician. He has researched and written about the application of the Vedic technology of consciousness – the Transcendental Meditation technique – for the promotion of soldier resilience, resolution of PTSD, and the reduction of violent conflict. Most recently he was the lead author of two studies published in a peer-reviewed journal regarding the application of Transcendental Meditation in Congolese refugees with posttraumatic stress. Dr. Rees retired from the US Army Reserve as a colonel after 37 years of commissioned service. A graduate of the US Army War College, he is a veteran of five tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and spent eight years in hospital commands.
